Resumé
My journey in graphic design began in the old-school of graphics where our tools were amberlith, x-acto knives, letraset, rapidiographs, and (cringe) line tape to name only a few. They required skill, and patience, as well as a creative mind and soul. Though I’ve kept up with technology, I am still amazed at what is now at our fingertips... what can be created with a computer and the imagination.
With 30 years of experience in advertising and printing, I have the experience and skills, along with a creative viewpoint, to insure client satisfaction.
Since 2000, I have been a full-time freelancer. Before that time, I freelanced at night and week-ends while working full-time for a variety of companies - ad agency to weekly publications to printing companies. My freelance clients are varied from oil-industry to artists, from restaurants to manufacturers. I’ve enjoyed working with each client, discovering that what they want and what they need are not always the same thing, while fullfiling their advertising vision for their company, service or product.
From initial logo design to photography to print... ads - business cards - brochures - catalogs - magazines - books - cd packaging - billboards - most of my work is produced in Illustrator and Photoshop. In the last few years, I have added digital photography to my repertoire, but when the budget allows, working with photographers and copywriters is a great pleasure. Though, I have not made the leap to building websites myself, I do work with webmasters in designing sites and creating graphics and photos for them. As a freelancer I have the freedom to give my clients a personal touch, and the enriching experience of meeting and working with wonderful people is a journey I am very happy I began and hope to continue.
